How do I set my portable monitor to “portrait” mode?
How do I set my portable monitor to “Portrait” mode?
Portrait mode allows you to rotate your AURA portable monitor vertically — ideal for reading documents, coding, editing long spreadsheets, or browsing web pages. It gives you a taller, more vertical screen view that mimics a traditional page or mobile layout. All AURA monitors with a vertical stand or rotating bracket can support this setup.
What is Portrait Mode?
Portrait mode displays content vertically rather than horizontally. It’s perfect for professionals who work with text-heavy applications like writing, programming, or editing. Simply rotate the screen and adjust your display settings — your AURA monitor will adapt instantly.
How to enable Portrait Mode
🖥️ On macOS
- Go to System Settings > Displays.
- Click on Display Settings and select the AURA screen you'd like to rotate.
- Change the Rotation or Orientation to 90° or 270° depending on how you’ve positioned the monitor.
- Your screen will automatically adjust to a vertical display.
🖥️ On Windows
- Right-click on your desktop and choose Display settings.
- Scroll to the display you want to rotate.
- Under Display orientation, select Portrait or Portrait (flipped).
- Click Apply and confirm when prompted.
🖥️ On Ubuntu (Linux)
- Open Settings > Displays.
- Select the AURA display you want to rotate.
- Choose Rotation and select Left or Right.
- Apply the changes to confirm portrait orientation.
📱 On Android (USB-C compatible phones)
- Connect your phone to your AURA monitor via USB-C.
- Your screen will automatically mirror or extend onto the monitor.
- If your AURA screen is physically rotated vertically, the phone content may still appear in landscape. In most cases, screen rotation is not supported on Android external displays, but Samsung DeX may allow more flexibility with apps.
Tip:
Make sure your AURA monitor is physically placed in a vertical (standing) position before rotating the screen through settings.
